ONGII is a delicious Lambrusco dell'Emilia IGP. This dry sparkling red represents the emblem of Reggio Emilia's culinary tradition, which pairs perfectly with local dishes. ONGII's blend is a skillful combination of Lambrusco Marani, Salamino, Oliva, Maestri and Grasparossa grapes that blend harmoniously in a goblet with vinous and fragrant notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherry. With a bright red-purple color, ONGII offers a smooth palate with silky tannins and great drinkability, while the nose reveals evolved notes of smoky and leather. ONGII winemaking involves a 5-day crushing and maceration, followed by spontaneous fermentation on its own yeasts and 12-15 months of bottle aging. The result is an organic wine of great quality and character that pairs perfectly with typical Reggio Emilia cuisine. It is ideal with aperitifs of erbazzone, fried gnocco and cured meats, stuffed pasta dishes such as cappelletti and tortelli, and elaborate main courses. To fully enjoy the ONGII tasting experience, we recommend serving at a temperature between 10 and 12°C.
